Baldurs gate what level should i be
Thanks, the advice sounds solid. Where's this fishing village? I'm dying like crazy, I probably need to level up a bit. The fishing village is north of the friendly arm inn. Yeah, a blade isn't newbie friendly at all.
You really need to know what you are doing to get the best out of that kit. Dual-wielding at low levels isn't a good idea anyway since you have such poor THAC0 and rogue classes have the second worst THAC0 progression of any character You also lack the proficiency points at low levels and without at least two points in dual-wielding you get rather stiff THAC0 penalties.
I wouldn't dual-wield a blade until he reaches level 4. That's when you get your third proficiency point and can then have two points in dual-wielding to avoid the main hand THAC0 penalties. Another thing is that the blade's defensive spin is completely bugged in the EE so that it doesn't give you the proper AC bonus. For that reason alone a blade is basically unplayable until they patch it.

I realize I skipped some areas Durlag's tower, a few side quests , but if I want to end up dual classing at 9, how will I ever end up with any decent amount of XP for the end quest? Such as a Thief. A Fighter, on the contrary, would need , XP to reach level 9.
Impossible without mods. I am a Berserker with plans to dual class into Mage or Cleric not entirely sure yet. How do so many people dual-class as fighters if it's so hard without mods?
Do they do it purely by playing solo? Eisenfell View Profile View Posts. Originally posted by Viking man :. It's certainly faster to run through Durlag's Tower and cut out most of the fetch quests. Solo in BG. You must do quite a bit of running and using ranged weapons, I'm guessing? Considering how easily two wolves can take down Imowen and the primary PC that's quite a challenge!
So far I've only soloed fighter types. It isn't that bad for them at least. But a level 1 mage? Every gibberling I come across would make me nervous. Depends on the class I use. Those wolves go down before I do.
